• Thunbergia alata, Black-eyed Susan vine

Black-eyed Susan vine (Thunbergia alata): Creeping plant, rich in flowers.

Black-eyed Susan is a popular creeper for sunny walls and pergolas. It is suitable as a hanging plant in window boxes and tubs; on sunny flower windows, it also thrives as a potted plant.

For sowing, place 2 - 4 seeds in 7 - 8 cm pots, cover them with thick seeds, press them on and keep them moist. If the shoots are about 15 cm high, be sure to attach them to wooden sticks so that the plants do not grow into each other. Requires support if you want it to grow upright. The black-eyed Susanne grows in humus-rich, not too heavy soil. It needs a warm, sheltered location. Flowering period: July — October. Height of growth: 1 - 1.5 m. Package content: enough for approx. 12 - 15 plants.
