Tunis - Rhododendron (Azalea). Azaleas belong to the flowering shrubs of the genus Rhododendron, one of the most beautiful shrubs. Azaleas bloom in spring (May and June) and their flowers often last for several weeks. Shade tolerant, prefers to live near or under trees.

Previously, these species were separated as a separate genus from the Heather family (Ericaceae) - Azalea L.
