Parrot tulips - or parakeet tulips, as they used to be commonly called - have very distinct flowers with twisted and fringed petals due to mutations from other varieties

Depending on the variety, the petals, single or multi-colored, are more or less incised. Most flowers usually have a green spot on the underside of the petals. During growth until the beginning of flowering, the flowers are almost entirely light green.

The flowers, often more than 15 cm in size, on flexible stems, are somewhat sensitive to bad weather conditions. It is therefore advisable to bring in these beauties in good time, in a vase or on a floating bowl they will then bloom in full beauty. You can enjoy that for a long time.

The "Black Parrot" is so dark that it can be called the black parrot with honor.
